'WHEN THE WATERS (BRING YOU TO ME)'
CD MS 11O
Chart Position: - No 4 NME album chart.
Review
"A dexterous guitarist on 6 and 12 string guitars, whose music has influences of John Fahey and Leo Kottke. Accompanied by his synthesised keyboards, the 14 tracks provide a style that has folk, blues, jazz and a new age strain, but which fits into its own category. There's a sense of continuity between the tracks and the album follows a whole.
This is an enjoyable and original album with enough proof to say that the art of the acoustic guitarist is not dead. Rob Parrett has a sense of excitement present in his music to escape the tedium of being just a virtuoso. Definitely worth investigating."
